These are 4 months old so should begin laying in about 2 more months. I have 8 or 9 to sell. I bought a bigger batch of these hens than I needed to account for any losses but I’m ready to go ahead and sell a few, maybe 8. This is a breed that comes from France and lays very very dark eggs. Sometimes almost looks like it is a chocolate eggs. They look almost exactly like Barred Rocks. I’m not really sure how to tell them apart but for buying them from https://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/cuckoo_maran.html. I’m a big, huge fan of Barred Rocks, but I’m going to this type because: 1) My exeperince is that they are the most aggressive forager I have seen (not only better eggs but less feed I have to buy) 2) I think the eggs are really cool and 3) They come from France and I like most things French. One of them is a rooster. If no one gets it soon I may just butcher the rooster.

Note that just buying chicks, that are $12 each.
